What is a torrent tracker?

A torrent tracker is a server that helps coordinate file transfers in the BitTorrent network. It keeps track of which peers have parts of a file and helps connect them.

Note: Trackers do not host any files themselves.

Why are some trackers offline?

Trackers may go offline due to server issues, abuse, high traffic, or permanent shutdown. Our system automatically removes trackers that stay offline for more than 1 hour.

Each tracker is pinged every 10–15 seconds for live status updates. Offline trackers are pruned after 60 minutes.

How do I request to change my submitted tracker?
